BRAINARD

This full-home transformation was designed for a family of four, whose shared love of music is at the heart of how they live. With accomplished piano and violin players in the home, the spaces needed to feel not only beautiful, but expressive, uplifting, and layered with personality.

Originally rooted in a dated early 2000s colonial style, the home was reimagined with brightness, movement and a fresh modern sensibility. The main level was opened to create an expanded kitchen and living area - allowing light to flow freely and making room for both everyday family life and music moments.

Wide plank white oak flooring and fresh welcoming paint now runs throughout, grounding the design while adding warmth and continuity. A full lighting overhaul introduced a mix of architectural and decorative fixtures, enhancing both function and mood. Pops of color were carefully considered to bring energy and rhythm to each space.

Transitional furnishings and decor were layered to strike a balance between modern lines and inviting comfort, ensuring the home feels both elevated and liveble.
